Thomas Le Forestier, CFA
General Partner
Thomas Le Forestier is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder. He began his career in strategy consulting at the American firm Computer Sciences Corporation, before moving into Asset Management at UBS.
He later founded his own asset management company in Paris, which he sold in 2012. Specializing in both fundamental and quantitative research, he managed equity portfolios with a particular focus on the technology sector.
In 2013, he relocated with his family to Geneva, Switzerland, where he has since been dedicated to managing the Takara funds.
Julien Morel
General Partner
Julien Morel began his career by establishing the strategy consulting division of Dasar in Palo Alto, California. After earning his MBA from Harvard Business School, he joined Cegetel as Head of Business Internet Services Development.
In 1999, he founded D/G Interactive, which he sold in 2002, along with a seed fund, XP Partners, focused on emerging technologies.
He later became Head of CRM Partnerships at Siebel Systems (Oracle), before being appointed Director of ESSEC Ventures in 2005.
In 2008, he co-founded Takara Capital with Thomas Le Forestier bringing with him a unique deal-sourcing capability rooted in the heart of the FrenchTech ecosystem.
